Third time's a ...

It's been said that third time's a charm, or third time lucky and what have you. I've been third time lucky once, but that's another story altogether. This time round, third time SUCKS!
In the army, to instill ownership of one's weapon, one is taught to think of the weapon as one's wife. Such being the case, I've been married thrice!
My first wife was good to me. Got me thru my BMT. We divorced when I went for my medic course.
The same goes for my second. We went thru a few outfields, and she got me thru the 1st combat shoot. For reasons best known, we divorced again.
It was then that I got my current wife. Everything went well, except during the 2nd combat shoot. It was then I realised the aiming device was spoilt! WTF! I was really pissed!
Even thou I didn't get Marksman the 1st time, the fact that the aiming device was wking then made the pain more bearable. But the 2nd? Not wking at all? SO HEART PAIN SIA!!!

Citibank Sg's Tap And Save is a new acct in which the card is a Visa Platinum debit card as well as an ez-link card, and comes with a complimentary cheque book. There's no initial deposit and no monthly minimum balance required when one credits one's salary when opening the acct. If not, it's a $500 initial deposit, and maintain $2,000 to get a waiver of the $5 monthly service fee.
Curious, I decided to look at local banks' current acct opening requirements. It's quite ex to maintain a current acct with local banks, as compared to TAS! At a glance, it's $1,000 (UOB, OCBC, $3,000 for DBS) to open a current acct, and it's a $7.50 service fee if the average balance falls short of $3,000 for all three banks!
For POSB, its current acct is linked to the customer's Savings acct, so it's just $500 to open the Savings acct. The service fee is only $2 if the average balance is below $500. Not bad, until one factors in the fact that there's a $2 monthly acct fee for the current acct.
All in, the TAS is a better option if one needs a current acct to me..

Some ppl, to me, think too highly of themselves. I met one recently. We were talking, and the topic came to jeans. He asked how much I bought my Levi's jeans, and which tab. After telling him it's 515 and the price, he said things like 'No wonder at that price. Should buy so and so tab instead. This tab more expensive..' blah blah. He then went on to comment that maybe my Levi's were fakes, and that 'kau tak rock ah'.
Ofc, I paid no attention to any of what he said. Cause to me, it just shows that he doesn't really know anything abt Levi's jeans. Even within a tab, for example 515, some pairs are more expensive than others. Different kinds of washes produces different shades. Hence some costs more.

The last deployment just ended recently. Quite sad. No more late night stuff. One of which is late night TV. As I wasn't attached to a section this time round, there's no 12hr duty and 12hr rest and what not. It's duty the whole of the time I was there. Unofficially, I rested at night. More things could happen in the day I supposed. So it was TV mostly. Now that it's over, it's back to being in camp, with lights out timing. So it's goodbye to those late night shows.
There are other stuff, of which they will within the four walls of the multi purpose hall and the Ops Room. ;)

Went to a place where I'd normally not be able to go. For some reasons better left unsaid. The reason I got the chance to go there was that someone wanted to report sick, and the 24hr medical centre I normally send patients to was caught up with the AOH.
Not too bad. A pity I couldn't see anything much. A lot of areas were locked up, since it's quite a high security area. And also cos it was at night. Oh well..
