I'm back!
2:59 am - Monday, December 31, 2007
It's been sometime since I posted. Not really out of choice. OK maybe out of choice, to a certain extent. Besides that, the reason I've not been posting was bcos my monitor died on me. On Wed last week.
I was online in the morning, then switched off the comp. When I tried going online again in the evening, the monitor was blank. Was waiting for the OS to load. After some time, when it was still a blank, I tried keying in my password. Lo and behold, the sound of the OS loading was there. Which means that my PC was ok, but NOT the comp. Bummer!
A fren sold me his spare monitor, and so, here I am.. So glad to be able to go online again.. Ah.. :)
You had to go..
2:22 am
We've been together for abt 10 years, the last time I counted. We had good times, and we had bad times. You always were there when I needed you. I was hoping that this wouldn't happen, but it did. There was nothing I could do to prevent it. You had to go. And you left me just like that, all of a sudden..
I know it's kinda late, but..

Happy Birthday? Nope.. it's not The Click Five I'm quoting here. No siree. Haha!
I know it's kinda late, but here's wishing all Muslims the blessings of Eid ul Adha. Selamat Hari Raya Haji! It's been 3 days, so no more
takbir-ing, for lack of better words to put it. And by the same token, I'd like to share smthg I came across on the Net.
The Islamic way of slaughtering animals may look cruel and inhumane. However, it is anything but. I came across this article and found it very informative and full of facts. It shows that the Islamic method slaughtering is indeed better. With the use of an
EEG and
ECG, it shows that animals slaughtered Islamically suffered NO pain at all, and hence the meat is hygienic!
Read it to find out more.

Yup, yup. That constant whiner of Doraemon's fren. Not that I'm a constant whiner thou. No! Haha! Just a quiz I took on Facebook.

I've been Facebook-ing much recently. Cos I have the time. Been at home. Accepting those invites I've been ignoring. My apps list is growing..

Speaking of which, life after ORD is great. I'm starting school in April next yr, and I'm not really in a hurry to get a temp job till then. So I've been at home pretty much. But too much of a good thing ain't good either, and I'm getting kinda bored. Was initially thinking of taking it easy for the two weeks running up to Adha, then start working after that. In the meantime, was thinking of going swimming daily in those two weeks. Unfortunately, I was hit by a bacterial infection on my toes. So out goes the window, the swimming plan. I still want to do that thou. Really miss swimming. And cos I've gained a few kilos. Hehe!
Sob sob..

It all happened with an sms a distant cousin sent me. Sending the reply to her, my hp hanged. Switched it off, but when i switched it back on, poof! White screen! Can't be switched on.
Went to the Sony Ericsson service centre on Sat. The lady told me that the phone memory will be lost. She then, ever so nicely, explained the procedure that'll take place, and why the memory will be deleted. I must say, that helps a bit. Takes the pain out of it a 'lil. Was told that my phone'll be ready for collection by Mon. If however, it's ready by Sun, I'll be notified by sms. So the wait began.
The sms finally came in on.. Mon, no less. To cut the story short, I now have a new K800i of sorts. Was told that they changed the motherboard. Still, that doesn't in any way make up for the fact that I've lost so much. All the pics, the sms-es, the contacts and what not. Especially the sms-es. Sigh..
Sob sob..
I miss..

camp food. No joke. Haha! I miss it. A bit, at least.
Camp food isn't that great. Just edible. But at least what's for sure is that bfast, lunch and dinner is diff. There's variety in it. And ofc, there's the occasional western food. That's smthg to look forward to.
Speaking of western food, I miss the western food at SMM. In fact, I miss the food at SMM! It's definitely much more nicer there. Every Thurs is western food. It's fixed. That's when ppl from other units from the same camp would come to SMM cookhouse. Yup. All the way. I dunno if they realise this, but if the western food isn't nice, it'd be a wasted trip for them. But I guess they DO realise this, as I always see them week after week when I was there.
Oh well..
Stitch removal 2.0
12:11 am - Tuesday, December 11, 2007
Went for stitch removal for my right side. Same old, same old. But was told that the holes would take 6mth to cover up. MY GOD! 6 MTH?
In other words, 6 more mth of having to flush out the food particles stuck in the holes after meals. Bummer!
Sunday night
11:58 pm - Monday, December 10, 2007
First Sunday night sleeping at home last night, without having to worry abt whether I'm covered by off, leave or MC. Ah.. Bliss..
Like those who have gone before me have done..

it's now my turn to do the same..
ORD OH!!!
Haha! Woo hoo! Finally, after 2 damn long years! Actually, I ended my NS a day earlier. Supposed to be tml, but since it's a Sat, I got my IC back today. Lucky me. Hehe..
It still feels pretty much the same though, probably because it's not been even a day yet, having back the pink IC. Maybe the feeling will kick in in a few days or so.
As I was packing my stuff in camp yest, I dunno why, but I'm suddenly kinda sad to ORD, leaving quite a lot of things and memories behind. Was told by a fren that that's normal. He felt the same way too. It's always difficult to leave in such situations, but life has to go on. God willing, I'll feel better in a few days.
All I can do now is to take the memories with me, and move on, to be a better person. I never know if there's more wonderful things that might happen in the future. For one thing, I have reservist to look forward to. Urrrggghh!
I guess this is where life really starts, as I now need to think and plan for my future. Friends at the workplace is different from friends in camp or school, somebody told me. All the best to me!
