I've been tidying up my room these past few days, and I found things from the past, chiefly photographs of me when I was younger. Kinda bz right now, so I only have time to scan these two for de moment. Will do the rest when I'm free, maybe later on or tml. :)

I just heard this on de radio, and felt like putting my thoughts on it to print.

It's abt this guy who's enlisting, and he's a of a certain status that entails him to deskbound duties, and he's complaining abt it. My GOD! Is he nuts or what? If I were him, I'd be so grateful and ecstatic! I'd be able to go back everyday, and not stay in camp, and I'd certainly not be complaining abt THAT!

His reason is that since NS is abt protecting de country blah blah blah, what's de point of doing deskbuound duties? Well for one thing, someone's gotta do it anyway, right? And ppl like you are de ones who are 'arrowed' to do them.

What are you complaining abt, bro? It's a very, very, very short BMT, unlike the one for those combat fit guys. Sheesh..! Be grateful already, will ya?

Rough translation: mee goreng pattaya cannot make it!

My mum made mee goreng, or fried noodles yest. Being itchy fingered, I thought I could make mee goreng pattaya. For those who dunno what that is, it's basically de noodles covered in an omelette. I've come across nasi goreng pattaya, or fried rice, but when life gives u lemons, u make lemonades, right? haha!

It was a disaster, to say de least! When I added in de noodles, de eggs wasn't really cooked yet, so de noodles ended up kinda mushy and soggy! De end result is NOWHERE close to de nice, smooth consistency of nasi goreng pattaya I've eaten outside at all lah..!

My sister came into de kitchen and saw what I did. She told me I should've used a bigger frying pan. Funny she didn't tell me that when I asked her where's de pepper earlier. She replied she didn't know what I was up to. She got a point there, so nvm.

At least that's one way of making mee goreng pattaya I would NEVER do again. The quest goes on.. ;)

Yup yup. Our sunny Singapore will be de host of de inaugural Youth Olympic Games come 2010! Looking forward to it. Hopefully they have student price tix. I'm still a student at that point of time. Hehe!

Went to NYP, my future sch just now. Admin stuff. I had to change my address, as de one they have is still my old one, and not de current one where I'm living now. Met up with Zharfan, who brought along his squeeze. :)

Met up with them at this part of de school I dunno where. I'm NOT yet a student there mah, remember? hehe! We then went to de Students Admissions Office.

I had an 'Oh God!' moment for a while when lady X said I could just do de change using e-services. I showed my deferment letter, to which lady Y said I was right, as I had not started any lessons. So relieved to hear that, cos I'd have wasted my time going there then!

I had to write in, apparently. To prevent fraudulent stuff smthg like that. So lady Y kindly gave me a piece of blank paper. And I wrote. For smthg quite on de spot, I'd say de letter was ok lah.. Copied a phrase from de deferment letter, wrote my current address, and de last part was abt asking them nicely that any correspondence be sent to my current place.

Signed it, and gave it to lady Y. I think she's a fast reader. I could see her eyes zooming so fast reading my letter. Kinda scary thinking abt it now. haha! She asked for my IC, and also whether de current address' reflected on it. It is. Zapped it, and told me that de new enrolment package would be sent to my new place. Ard March, she said, when I asked her when I could expect it. Done.

After that, it was a preview of de Health Sciences building. Walked ard it, with Zharfan as de guide. I nvr saw much, but it looks like hospital wards being replicated, complete with life size mannequins. Reminds me of my NS time when I was on course sia.. haha!

Z said de smell reminds him of TTSH. But it wasn't quite strong de disinfectant smell, or commonly known as 'de hospital/any medical facility smell'. To me at least lah. Very faint. Maybe some other parts of de building de smell stronger lah. I dunno. Maybe.

We ended up walking ard de running track, de swimming pool, and de sports hall. Then it was lunch, for me. Z & beau had lunched liao. Prata kosong 3, and teh. Not bad lah, considering it was just 40 cents for de teh, and 50 cents each for de prata.
'nuf said! :(

Lastly, de shopping arcade or smthg like tat. If I'm not wrong, Business students running some shops on campus. Walked ard. Nothing much, except cool NYP polo shirts on sale. Saw red and white. I wonder if there's black. Basic black. I like! Oh well.. that's for when I start lessons then can talk, not now. :)

So that settles it. Just waiting for de enrolment package now. Thx Zharfan!

Sentosa Flowers 2008 was great! Period! Nice flowers on show. As they are, and as other things. What do I mean? I guess you'll understand what I mean looking at de pics.

Not so great thou, was de HUUUGE crowd there on that day. Looking back, it was such a 'Duh!' thing, going there on a public holiday, on de day de exhibit started, but I guess that never crossed anyone's mind then. Heh.
