Yesterday was Club Crawl in sch. Every club (I think, anyway) had a booth either in de swimming pool or in de sports complex. Showcasing and recruiting. I saw MQ! She's in tae kwan do. Cool! So if any lau ah pek wanna get cheeky with her, I guess she knows wat to do. Haha!
If I could go back in time and change things, I'd go back to my sec sch days. And enrol in sport(s) as CCAs. Esp badminton. I really like de game! I can then get CCA points for doing smtgh I really like. But no one can time travel, so oh well..
Anyways, de advice I got from frens in poly/already graduated is to take up only ONE CCA and focus on it. So it's a no brainer that I enrolled for badminton. Thou I also wanted to enrol for others like Nastro, Photograpy Club and swimming. I heard from my OGL, H, that it's quite hard to find time for CCAs in Nursing, so I'm not sure how it'll be like.
When I was penning my name down at de badminton booth, I was told that they'll contact me for trials. I asked if they focus more for IVP. Not surprisingly, it was a positive answer lah.. As for those who don't make de cut for IVP, they'd be more than welcomed to join in de practice too, I was told. Actuali, I asked lah. Hehe..
Being someone who don't play badminton often, I'm kinda doubting myself making de cut for IVP actuali. Sure it'd be great if I could, and representing and bringing personal as well as glory for de poly sure sounds great and all, but that entails lots and lotsa practice. I dunno for sure if that'll affect my studies, but I guess so lah.. And it's not so easy, Nursing. Just into de first week, and it's already beginning to show. Poly life sure is different indeed.
I'm now beginning to wonder if I should just scrap de idea of being involved in CCAs altogether. I'm thinking of just going for a few laps in a pool daily. Swimming's not a bad sport. It's cardio, plus it's low impact on de joints. What more can I ask for, right? Not sure if I wanna swim in sch pool thou. Just seems so.. wrong.
Till then, will see how trials goes!
To end on a light note, here's smthg I found while Googling 'male nurse':
