Went to de great National Library earlier on in de day. To finish up HS1087. Bah! Giving my grp a headache this particular module!
It wasnt bad lah de NLB. But I still miss de brick and mortar that it was, during de times it was at Stamford Rd. Miss those red bricks. :) I read from I forget where that some of those bricks are somewhere at de new NLB. Wherever it is, I didnt manage to see it juz now. Some other day, perhaps.
First off, met my sub grp members at City Hall, then makan at Burger King at Raffles City. De guy at de counter is colour blind, I guess. Y? De story goes like this: I bought a meal for $6.10. Gave de exact amt. But somehow he sees it as I gave him $10.10, and gave me back $4! I was like 'Huh?!' But I DIDN'T voice it out thou. And I'm still kinda disturbed by my not doing so lah. Heh.
Over de meal, talked abt some stuff. Mostly abt what XP read from a book she borrowed fr de sch lib. Abt sex. Not abt sex per se, but abt some issues related to it, ie sexual crimes, sexual fantasies and how they came abt/cured etc. Interesting. And also some experiences she had as an EN. Suddenly orthopaedics has a diff meaning to it.. Hah.
From there, we walked to de NLB. It was quite fun lah, everything. But what I don't get is de strict control of items that can and can't be brought in. Bags, own books, NO! Pencil box? Depends on what's inside. De security officer (cos 'guard' sounds too degrading) even checked pencil boxes. XP brought a scissors which had to be kept. Seriously thou, u think we gonna vandalise de books, zit??!!
Done browsing some books, settled into a cosy corner. But not for long thou. Chased out by another security officer. From a cosy corner, we went to some garden or smthg. Quite hot, what with no airconditioning and all, but that was settled by an ingenious solution. Which is simply leaving de door open. I dunno how to explain it scientifically, but bcos of de different temp, de cold air just came gushing out. And de hot stuffy garden schmarden was like a resort lah.. cold breezy air, wooden platforms, friends chit chatting. And de irritating DHL blimp going up and down! Haha!
Enuf of story telling. Here are some pics. Enjoy!

De ghost of Maria. Hehe. Juz kidding..

She supposedly has an abdominal cramp. That explains de clutching of de stomach.
