Overheard while queueing to pay for some stuff at NTUC just now.
Man: This queue so long.
Cashier: If this queue so long, next time don't go this queue lah..
I let out a little laugh hearing that! But I guess it's not little enough lah. Cos both man and cashier turned and looked at me. Paiseh a bit, and as I was sms-ing, I pretended to be laughing at what I was reading on my hp. Dunno if they bought my pretending thou. Heh.
On a slightly more serious note, NTUC should really, seriously consider having Express Lanes. If I'm right, Carrefour has this Express Lanes thingy. For ppl who're buying say 10 items or less. Wah lau, de queues were damn, damn snaking long lah! At least at de NTUC at Jurong Point that is. Idk abt other NTUC outlets.
And de funny (or pathetic) thing is, some were queueing to pay for one or two stuff only! Like this man I saw, he took a basket, and all that he had in it were two 1-litre HL packs of milk. Pathetic, right? And in front of him were these ppl with tons and tons of stuff. And he? Waiting like some idiot fool just to pay for two 1-litre HL packs milk? Wt*!
Singaporeans have grown accustomed to queueing I think. Singapore is a fine city? Yeah I guess. And a queueing one at that. :)
Any1 knows where to write to NTUC? Heh..
