Yup, yup. I'm baaack!
I wasn't away cos I was on holiday or anything. Rather, my comp was attacked somehow by a virus, and I couldn't log on, AT ALL. It sure was boring not being able to go online.
Cikgu came over to my place last Sunday to see what he could do. He brought along all (I think) his gears. He had his IBM (now it goes by Lenovo, just fyi..) lappy, his external hard disk thingy which allowed him to access my hard disk with his lappy, his thumb drive, and whatever else. Oh, and ofc, his expertise lah.. Scan punye scan punye scan, we found out that it was a virus. Others were hit by this before. This we know as we googled de error msg I got. Btw, de error msg was 'The program issued a command but the command length is incorrect', in case u wanna tinker ard.
Cikgu had a way to solve it, but it was ruled out, cos I don't have a floppy disk. I mean.. who uses floppies nowadays, right? 1.44MB? So little space? So we ended up googling and reading forums after forums abt this. There were many probable ways to solve it, but as Cikgu had a wedding reception appt somewhere, so he said he'll come back some other day to remedy this little inconvenience of mine. So that explains why e.t.s. was like a ghost town these past few days.

Cikgu came again today, finally, after Fri prayers. Met up at PA, and went back together. What he did was to simply install another XP on my hard disk. So there's TWO XPs there, de new one being de one I'm using now. First thing I did? Blog hopping! Hehe! Updates galore, I must say! There were at least two updates per blog that I went. With de exception of one, being dead silent as ever. I dunno how many angels have passed by. Don't get that? Private joke lah.. :D
Ofc there are two sides to a story, coin (and watever else has two sides or more..) and while I'm glad to be able to go online again, I guess I must practice prudence now. The elec bill shot thru de roof for last mth, and guess who was blamed? ME ofc. Can't really argue lah. No case at all. So lan lan suck thumb!
Not being able to go online made me turn to de only other form of entertainment - TV. Thank god for cable! Watched all those shows I used to watch.. Disney Channel and MTV mostly. And also documentaries. Speaking of which, docus are great. If you're too lazy to pick up a book and read, docus to me, are de next best thing. Ofc you're limited to watching what de producer wants to show lah, but hey, you can't have your cake and eat it too, right? Not all de time at least. Heh.
