This post is like waaay overdue, due to de fact that I was locked out of my comp by a damn virus.
Played badminton with de bunga gang + corporal last Thurs on de 6th. Thou I had planned for it on 15 Mar, when more could come, it was kinda an impromptu thing to play it on Thurs. Nevertheless, it was great fun nonetheless.
Met up with Corporal at de small McD at tamp. De others were late. So we both went there first. Lo and behold, it was under renovation. This slight miscommunication, cos someone forgot to check whether Tamp Sports Hall was still under renovation, was to me, one that could have been avoided. But no use crying over spilt milk, right?
So after a few calls, it was decided that we would meet up somewhere nearby. To kill de time, both of us went to a badminton store and look ard. A badminton specialty store, I must add. There was a $200++ pair of badminton shoes! I dare say that only serious badminton enthusiasts would fork out that much dough on a pair of shoes! While looking ard in de store, saw de rest strolling past. Went outside, and called them in. Corporal came up with de idea of sharing money to buy some shuttlecocks. I sat this one out, cos I already had some birds of my own. End up sharing $5 for 3 Ashaway birds.
All of us then walked to a nearby CC. I was quite apprehensive thou, cos what if there weren't any courts available? But luckily there were, and we booked de courts. To be exact, we booked only ONE court, but as there weren't anyone else ard, we ended up using BOTH courts instead. Not bad eh, considering my earlier apprehensiveness? :)
It was fun playing badminton after so long not touching my racket! There weren't enuf rackets to go ard for every1, so at anytime, one person was sitting watch. It could have been more fun if everyone brought their own rackets as well, but oh well.. I'm left with only ard 4 to 5 of my $8 birds. Used up so much during that two hours, but I guess it was worth it.
After the jam packed, fun two hours, some of decided to wash up. Corporal had de idea of washing up at de Tamp Sports Hall, but when we got there, de showers WERE ALSO under renovation. Damn we didn't see that one coming. So after much deliberation, we decided to wash up at de Tamp Swimming Complex next door. It was $1 an entry, thou if we had known, we'd just buy de $0.50 child ticket instead. Oh well again..
So in de showers de four of us went. Corporal, mr smith, nakongsa and me. Ofc diff booths lah, in case any1's having dirty thoughts. Heh. Mr smith and nakongsa were de first to be done, followed by Corporal and finally, me. Hey, it WAS a $1 shower, so I intend to make full use of it! At least to shower to my heart's content lah, that is. Mr smith was saying that it's such a waste to spend $1, and NOT go have a dip. I agreed with him, but oh well.. We were kinda pressed for time anyway.
After washing up, it was then prayers at Ghufran next door. A bit late, but still had de time, so after Zuhur, we waited for Asar. Done with Asar, we met with Cikgu! He juz arrived, so talked a bit, after which we agreed to link up after he was done with Asar, just outside Ghufran. Meanwhile, we went back to Swimming Complex, this time ard bcos I wanted to buy de Stored Value Card. Hehe!
That done, we went to where we agreed to link up. Cikgu was nowhere to be seen. Called him, and he said he was already at home! When he was done, he didn't see us ard, so he went back. Funny, right? Can call any1 of us pe.. We were planning to eat, so we just told him to meet us there. It was at Mr Teh Tarik. Had a nice early dinner, and also some laughter when de topic came to Mas Selamat. Among other things, it was confirmed that he is now in Malaysia. This bcos there are signs everywhere welcoming him. Selamat Datang! Lame, but nonetheless funny lah..
It was then back to Ghufran, as it was nearing Maghrib. But not before going ard TM and CS, as Mr smith was looking for a cake. For some occasion coming up. Found some nice ones ard $20, as that was his budget. After Maghrib, it was then only Corporal and me left. He wanted to Ishak there as well, and so did I. Talked a bit. Quite a lot lah actually, but kinda lazy to narrate it out.
The end. :)
